Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 66: The Curtain Falls – Shibuya Incident Ends

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 66 brings the epic and emotionally exhausting Shibuya Incident arc to its long-awaited close. But this isn’t a clean victory — it’s the aftermath of a war, and no one escapes unscathed.

The chapter opens with a summary of the chaos left behind. The civilian death toll is staggering. Satoru Gojo remains sealed, and the Tokyo Jujutsu High hierarchy is in crisis. Trust is broken, bodies are buried, and curses are rising from every shadow.

Yuji Itadori, at the heart of it all, stands in silence. The boy who once hesitated to kill now shoulders the weight of countless lives lost. There’s no celebration — only reflection. With Nanami, Nobara, and countless others gone or missing, the story turns toward recovery… or what’s left of it.

But amid the mourning, new players step into the spotlight.

Choso has fully switched sides, choosing to protect Yuji as his “younger brother.” His transformation from enemy to ally hints at a major shift in future dynamics — one built on blood ties and broken ideology.

Meanwhile, the final panels show Kenjaku (Geto’s body) moving behind the scenes, continuing to manipulate cursed spirits and humans alike. His plan is far from over — he has bigger goals than Mahito ever did, and now nothing stands in his way.

And then there’s Yuki Tsukumo — her brief appearance ends with a hint that she’s ready to oppose Kenjaku, possibly taking a more active role in the chapters to come.

Gege Akutami closes the arc with haunting quiet, choosing weighty expressions and muted tones over spectacle. It’s not about who won — it’s about what was lost.

Chapter 66 is not a triumphant ending. It’s a broken one. But from that brokenness, something even darker — and more powerful — is rising.
