Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 114: Soulfire – Megumi and Yuji Strike Back Against Kogane
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 114 is the explosive climax fans have been bracing for. With Kogane-no-Ō tightening his grip inside the corrupted domain, it’s now or never for Megumi and Yuji—their friendship, their future, and their very souls on the line.
The chapter kicks off seconds after Chapter 113’s cliffhanger. Megumi, awakened from within by Yuji’s desperate act of self-sacrifice, pushes himself to his limits. Though weakened by the shadow bindings, he reclaims control of part of his domain—just enough to let Yuji fight beside him.
Together, they initiate a synchronized dual technique: Megumi’s Chimera Shadow Garden, now purified and blazing with blue flame seals, intertwines with Yuji’s cursed physicality. It’s not a traditional domain expansion—but it’s something new. Something born from mutual trust and shared pain.
Kogane is furious, lashing out with cursed tendrils and illusions, but the bond between Megumi and Yuji creates a feedback loop strong enough to resist full corruption. Yuji takes the lead in close combat,
while Megumi channels every ounce of his will into purging the parasite from his cursed core.
The visual center of the chapter is stunning: Megumi uses a reversed version of the Ten Shadows Ritual, summoning a purified version of Mahoraga’s wheel,
not to control—but to destroy what doesn’t belong.
In the final moments, Yuji lands a devastating blow while Megumi drives Kogane’s curse into a spiritual lock. They chant in unison:
“You don’t rule this soul. We do.”
A massive explosion of shadow and light consumes the domain.
The last panel shows Megumi collapsed, breathing—alone in his soul again—with Yuji smiling faintly nearby, whispering:
“Told you… I’d pull you back.”
Chapter 114 is the payoff fans hoped for—emotional, epic, and deeply human. Gege Akutami reminds us once more: in a world built on curses, the strongest exorcism is love and loyalty
