Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 108: Pact of Shadows – Yuji Risks Everything to Save Megumi
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 108 plunges us into psychological horror as Megumi Fushiguro begins to slip deeper under the cursed influence of Kogane-no-Ō. His body remains intact—but his mind is fragmenting, and his cursed energy is no longer his own.
The chapter opens with Yuji waking to find Megumi missing from their secured shelter. Dark trails of shadow energy swirl across the landscape. Sorcerers nearby report that Megumi was last seen walking—alone—into a ruined temple overtaken by cursed flora.
Gojo, sensing Kogane’s influence intensifying, orders immediate pursuit but warns:
“If Megumi accepts the throne—even unconsciously—we may have to put him down.”
But Yuji refuses to accept that fate.
He confronts an old Cursed Monk, a former ally of the Zen’in clan, who holds a forbidden ritual that can anchor a soul to another—a last-resort tethering technique once used during the golden age of curses.
Yuji doesn’t hesitate.
“If I lose him, I lose everything. I’ll bear the curse if I have to.”
The ritual begins. At the same time, inside Megumi’s mind, we see a throne room made of shadows. Kogane stands before him, offering power and peace—if he just surrenders.
Megumi, visibly exhausted, begins to kneel.
But just before he does, a pulse hits him—Yuji’s soul-link ritual activating. The tether wraps around Megumi’s chest, pulling him back toward consciousness.
Kogane’s eyes narrow.
“You’d share your curse for him? Fool.”
Yuji responds—his voice echoing through the dreamscape:
“Then call me a fool who won’t give up.”
The chapter ends with both boys suspended in shadow—caught between two fates.
Chapter 108 is deeply emotional, mystical, and ominous. Gege Akutami delivers a chapter about brotherhood, sacrifice, and the cost of loyalty in a world built on curses.
